Encouraging research and extraordinary service is part of TANKER's philosophy. Towards this end, various awards are given including Mrs. PC Mary-Tanker Foundation Young Investigator Award and the Mrs. Rekha - Tanker Foundation Young Investigator Award worth Rs. 10,000 each. Three prestigious awards worth Rs. 100,000 that recognises achievements in research as well as service are also awarded annually. All the awards were constituted in 2009 and are awarded annually.
The Muthoot M. George Memorial TANKER & Kerala Kidney Research Foundation Young Investigator Award. Rs.2, 00,000/- with citation is given to the most outstanding young researcher in Nephrology in India, chosen from any researcher below 45 years who has made an outstanding contribution towards understanding kidney diseases, of relevance to India.
The Renny Abraham TANKER Foundation Love for Service Award. Rs.1,00,000/- with a gold medal and a citation is given to the most outstanding Medical Doctor in India who has gone beyond the call of duty in rendering service to the underprivileged.
The La Renon TANKER Foundation for the Sake of Honour Award. Rs.1,00,000/- with citation is given to any person doing exemplary work in his/her field.
