There was active participation from the villagers when the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation conducted an awareness programme Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Puthali village, in Uthiramerur taluk of Kanchipuram district. Program Co-ordinator, Mr. Hemeshwaran, gave a detailed presentation on kidney health.

Remarks: The awareness programme on kidney health was organised to educate the local community about kidney functions, prevention of kidney diseases and the importance of early diagnosis.
The session witnessed the active participation of 42 community members. Mr. Hemeshwaran delivered a detailed presentation on kidney health. The session emphasised common causes of kidney diseases, including diabetes, hypertension and excessive use of painkillers. The importance of drinking adequate water, regular health check-ups and maintaining a balanced diet was also highlighted.
